Message from the General Manager

Dear Members

With Spring around the corning and Easter fast approaching, I for one can’t wait for the arrival of some sunshine and drier weather. The relentless rain has made it very challenging for our golfers this winter and we are looking forward to the new golfing season with great enthusiasm and for our new year golf to finally get under way.

We are planning some drainage and course investment this year and will be announcing this in a detailed plan in due course, once the schedule of works has been finalised. Please read our course report form Paul later in the newsletter to keep up to date what they have been doing over the last few weeks.

The Pulse bar will be closed week commencing Monday March 30th for 5 days while we carry out our redecoration and refurbishment project. We apologies in advance for any inconvenience during this time and please know disruption will be kept to an absolute minimum. All other club facilities will remain open and access to the gym and changing rooms will remain through this area. There may be noise and work taking place when you visit as we are replacing carpets and furniture and redecorating throughout. With work also taking place over night, we expect the Pulse bar to open again on Saturday 7th March.

The Club bar will be open for food and refreshments during this time but please note, the spike bar area will be reserved for our golfing members only during these 5 days.

The current tables and chairs will be donated to charity and whilst some have been earmarked for a local charity already, we still have several furniture items to re-home. Please do let me know if you have any local youth clubs or charity organisations who would benefit from some additional furniture.

The crèche team have extended the age range in the crèche to up until a child’s 12th birthday to give families a few more options, especially during the holiday periods. We have brought some new board games and creative arts to keep the older ones entertained. We are also re-stocking the family play area in the Pulse bar area so watch this space for some great new ways to keep our little ones engaged.

Our next members evening is on Tuesday 24th March from 7pm. The evening will be an opportunity to meet the team and fellow members over a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles followed by some live music. Please do come along and join us. Please RSVP at reception so we have an idea of numbers.

As always, I value your feedback and please do let me have any suggestions on how we can improve our club by writing to [email protected].

Kind regards

Nicky
